Empowering Individuals,
Enriching Communities

About Us

The HATC Foundation is dedicated to empowering individuals and families to build better futures. As the nonprofit arm of the Housing Authority of Travis County, our mission is to support HATC residents and voucher holders in achieving economic mobility and self-sufficiency.

We believe that with the right tools and opportunities, anyone can thrive. That's why we provide HATC clients with scholarships, workforce development programs, financial literacy training, and other resources to help them gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to reach their full potential.

Our foundation was established in 2017 by the HATC Board of Commissioners to further the housing authority's mission of providing affordable housing options and improving quality of life for Travis County residents.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by private and public grants, charitable donations from individuals and corporations, and fundraising initiatives. Our board is comprised of dedicated community leaders passionate about creating pathways out of poverty.

We are proud of the impact we have made so far, but our work has only just begun. With your support, we can help many more public housing residents gain the skills, resources and opportunities to create lasting change in their lives.
